This turbo-charged action thriller pushes the pedal to the metal with terrific aplomb. Vin Diesel (pictured, left) stars as ex-jailbird Dominic Toretto, a charismatic, hard-driving top dog whose LA gang race their souped-up cars illegally on the streets for big money. But is there more to the gang? Could they be behind a spate of truck hi-jackings? Undercover cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker, pictured, right) muscles in to investigate, and, in the process, falls for Toretto's sister Mia (Jordana Brewster).
Released in 2001 and strongly directed by Rob Cohen, this is a powerhouse update of Point Break with some outstanding motors that petrolheads will adore.
Did you know? Vin Diesel's black muscle car is a 1970 Dodge Charger with extensive modifications. It's believed that the same car was featured in the opening scenes of 2005's Herbie Fully Loaded.
