A drunk, stunned PC Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) sits in her crushed car and goes into shock as she realises she has hit another car and sees assumed driver, Miranda Roscoe (Naomi Battrick), lying motionless on the road. PC Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour), hearing the sickening thud of the collision, rushes to the scene, finds Miranda Roscoe lying motionless on the road (pictured) and is stunned to see Sally at the wheel.
Ben calls the paramedics and gives Sally the false name of Julia Jacobs before calling Sergeant Stone (Sam Callis) to tell him what has happened. At the hospital, Miranda's mother, Maggie (Victoria Alcock) arrives and tells Stone and PC Millie Brown (Clare Foster) that her daughter couldn't have been driving as she's only 15.
Back at the station, Sergeant Smith (Alex Walkinshaw) and P.C. Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) become suspicious when they find no trace of a Julia Jacobs in Sun Hill and realise the description given of the driver and her friend sounds like Sally and Ben. At Stone's flat, Sally remains distraught at the events unfolding and ignores calls from Smithy, knowing her career is in jeopardy, while Ben attempts to comfort her.
Sally eventually recalls that she kissed Damian Girton (Ian Virgo) before driving away. Stone visits Damian, who tells the Sergeant that he saw Sally getting in the car, knowing she was drunk. Stone, spying Damian's wedding photograph, persuades him it would be in his best interests to play dumb when the police question him.
As evidence continues to mount against Sally and more suspicions are raised as to her whereabouts the night before, the PC enters Sun Hill in the hope that she can explain a few things...
Borin Boring Boring..is what "The Bill" has become....singular story lines. I guess they are working to a budget, but i keep switching channels to watch the adverts just to keep awake. I used to be "The Bills" biggest fan but conpared to other progams i.e CSI, Criminal Minds, The Unit etc its as boring as Eastenders.

I think the bill has been ruined since it has been put in its new format. There are plenty of programmes like this about. The bill was unique and i was a big fan, I am no longer going to watch it.

The new Bill is such a dissapointment - this is the U.K. not America, and the latest episode was utter American trash. Can we not go back to the exciting bersion of the Bill, with decent music and less of the rubbish that is on with the "new" Bill?? - lets have a portrayal of what the British Bill was and at the decent time of 8 p.m. on a Wednesday and Thursday???My wife and I used to really enjoy watching the programme, now we might as well switch it off!!

What on earth has happened to THE BILL??? It is not nearly as good as it was-(even the Jeyes advert before the Bill is awful) - why did the drama have to change from an exciting drama at a good time of 8 p.m. to this noisy and boring stuff at 9 p.m. -?? We love Smithy and Mickey etc - but its just not the same anymore - the cast deserves something better- especially after tonights episode which actually quite pathetic!!!

Hi i would like some help with my media coursework, I am researching The Bill and would like fans ideas and comments. My research topic is on the presentation of male and female officers, if you feel you have any ideas or feelings about the way these are presented differently whether it be a male or female issue please could you spare a few minutes to comment it would be really helpful. Thanks
