In UKTV Food's brand-new and exclusive series New British Kitchen - Torode & Hardeep's Tour, Masterchef judge John Torode (pictured) and runner-up of Celebrity Masterchef, Hardeep Singh Kohli, join forces to explore ethnic communities throughout the UK and their diverse cuisine.
Hardeep and John's mission is simple - in each episode they must investigate and cook two dishes, traditional to that episode's community.
Hardeep takes to the road to find out why different cultures eat what they eat, explores evolution in traditional recipes and asks how these recipes are handed down from generation to generation.
Throughout the series, Hardeep goes Polish in West London, Ukrainian in Huddersfield and Turkish in his native Glasgow. What he gains in knowledge from these cities and communities, he takes back to the kitchen, where John Torode cooks the recipes Hardeep has gathered.
But Hardeep has one more challenge to complete. In each episode, someone he meets will challenge him to cook an apparently simple snack for members of the local community. But will they give him their culinary seal of approval?
