We've now reached the penultimate episode of the drama about the lives of four female 30-something friends and their marital relationships. Still not totally convincing - there are far too many similarities with Sex And The City and Desperate Housewives for its own good - tonight the programme builds into quite a cliffhanger, leaving a number of wrecked emotional men in its wake.
Although Siobhan (Orla Brady) believes that Hari (Raza Jaffrey) need never know of her affair, having to confront her guilt on a daily basis becomes too much, and she persuades Duggan (Marc Danbury) to promote Dominic (Adam Rayner) into another section.
Worried about the impact of her confession on young Sam (Max Brown) Katie (the excellent Sarah Parish) desperately tries to contact him. When he turns up in the middle of the night asking searching questions, she buckles and tells him the full truth about the circumstances surrounding his father's death.
Meanwhile, Trudi (Sharon Small) tries to persuade Richard (Patrick Baladi) to make their "break-up" a "break", but he isn't interested. Meanwhile would-be lesbian Jessica (Shelley Conn) is shunned by Alex (Anna Torv) at a business lunch, leaving her feeling hurt and worthless.
Trudi spends some time with Sally (Joanne McQuinn) and little Paul. She feels responsible for them and contemplates giving Sally a share of her windfall. Unable to move on from Richard, Trudi determines to win him back - although it ends up being more arduous than she ever imagined.
At work, Jessica has a new assignment. She finds it far from exciting - until she arrives and sees that Simon (Adam Astill) has played Cupid. Elsewhere, an excited Hari takes Siobhan on a big baby shop but, as the pressure mounts, she can no longer keep up the pretence and finally comes clean.
Trudi's good nature gets the better of her but, as she waits to give Sally and little Paul a cheque, she makes an appalling discovery...

Please,it is just a drama,ok? i watched all the episodes i could find, which are excellent and touching. I thought British people are open-minded and grace for this TV series, but now i see there is still uptight people like u. Teenage pregnancies is a social problem depends on the lack of sexual education.

I haven't watched this series at all, but my flatmate was listening to it too loudly, and I caught the last bit of music and recognised it. I know it's Sigur Ros and I think the track is Vidrar vel til loftarasa but I'm not entirely sure...all I know is that it is on my laptop from one of the CD's my ex boyfriend copied over.

Casting is excellent except from the blonde woman who's husband died on 9/11. She really gets in the way. She does not have enough in common with the others to truly be a believable member of the group. Obviously, the producers wanted an actress who would be accessible by the average plain, overweight British housewife, and this is a case of playing to the lowest denominator. There is simply NOTHING sexy about her. Susan Parish's character would simply never hang out with a woman like her. She's simply too out of touch with herself.
