Tracey Towner (pictured) is an addiction specialist with a dramatic new way of getting people to kick addictions such as alcohol, gambling, spending or drugs. This hard-hitting documentary follows families as they confront their addict relatives and force them to face their demons.
Using the controversial US "intervention" technique, families threaten to cut them out of their lives permanently unless they go straight into rehab. Follow the story of Richard and Anna, a young couple from Huddersfield, who are addicted to drugs and spend £1,000 a week on their habit. Their mothers have tried everything to help them and they are desperate to stop their children killing themselves, so they call on Tracey to organise an intervention. The troubled couple are completely unaware that they are about to face a dramatic confrontation.
As poignant as it is frightening, Intervention follows both family and addicts as they make one of the toughest choices of their lives.
