After last week's dramatic events - in which the Daleks, led by Davros, returned en masse, flying in formation, annihilating everything in their path and pulling the Earth halfway across the universe - the Doctor (David Tennant) is in quite a quandary. He may have got his "secret" army - that's Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), Sarah Jane Smith (Elizabeth Sladen), Harriet Jones (Penelope Wilton) and the surviving members of Torchwood - to help him, but what can they do against such collective might?
Sadly preview discs were not available for this final and dramatic episode of the current series. What we do know is that things look exceedingly bleak - the Doctor is apparently helpless as the Daleks activate their masterplan, and even the Tardis faces destruction. There's also a prophecy that as the Doctor's secret army joins forces against Davros, one of them will die. Cripes.

Hi, I'm 13 and i disagree, i did like the old Doctor Who's but i preffer the newer ones, i understand them better and i personaly think it doesn't have more or less action, just a different type
I second that, keep it simple. You cannot improve on Davies' ideas and format. David Tennant makes a great Doctor, a very refreshingly modern twist on the old typecast role. But I'm still not too sure how much more of Catherine Tate I can tolerate.

I agree with Russ. The KISS principle has been abandoned, leading to complicated, bizaar story lines. No comparisonm with the really good lines of the original series, and those that followed.

The viewing and appreciation figures would very much suggest otherwise. Kids can be clever, and adults like a laugh sometimes. I'm still watching with my children, and we're loving it to pieces.
Having praised the return of Dr Who as some of the best TV the BBC have produced in years I find myself disapointed overhaul with the 2008 series. Too complicated for the younger audience, too silly for the older audience. Get back to Mr Davies's original ideas and keep it good old fashioned hide behind the sofa material or it will dwindle into obscurity over the next year or so...
