This is a pivotal and superb episode in this fascinating and unsettling series. For the first time confident vigilante serial killer Dexter (Michael C. Hall) looks like he might come unstuck as clues that could put him in the frame are coming to light. We're not just talking the odd fingerprint or the odd speck of blood, either. No, an entire body that Dexter carefully disposed of the other week has turned up, back at the scene of the crime. Dexter believes the Ice Truck Killer is behind this surprise twist of events, letting him know that he knows what Dexter is up to. It's not a ludicrous assumption; it does seem that the Ice Truck Killer knows an awful lot about Dexter.
Worse, the noose tightens further when a young Cuban boy is discovered, hiding at the crime scene. He must have seen Dexter capturing the victim, so surely he will identify him? What's needed is a clever plan to divert Dexter's own homicide division from uncovering him as the murderer, while simultaneously investigating his own crime. Can Dexter do it? Bring it on...
