There are lots more intriguing cases for Jordan Cavanaugh (Jill Hennessy, pictured), lead character of the crime-drama series Crossing Jordan, as Season 6 makes its exclusive UK debut on the Hallmark Channel this month.
Jordan is the sexy, smart and fearless Boston Medical Examiner with a chequered career - and a penchant for going beyond the call of duty. The tragic unsolved murder of her mother has shaped Jordan's empathy with the voiceless victims she encounters as she pieces together complex murder cases that have been hidden, shoved aside or conveniently forgotten.
Series 5 concludes with high drama as Jordan wakes up to find a corpse beside her in bed. With no memory of what happened the night before, Jordan stands accused of murder and must turn to her colleagues to help piece together the clues that might clear her name. Series 6 kicks off with Jordan travelling to Washington DC in a further effort to prove her innocence. But with Lu (Leslie Bibb) bringing in her own experts to testify against Jordan, what hope does Jordan have of clearing her name? This episode also sees the addition of Dr Kate Switzer (played by The Silence of the Lamb's Brooke Smith) to the Crossing Jordan team.
Other challenges facing the team in Season 6 include a teen suicide, a woman hit by several cars on a freeway, and an 8-year-old boy shot 33 times by the cops, which provokes a riot on the streets of Boston.
On Friday 4th April we saw Jordan having problems with a brain tumor. Then, after 2 repeat episodes(monday & tuesday), we are transported 4 weeks later when she is back at work, with no mention of the in-between period! The tv magazines are advertising, for Thursdays(today) episode, the operation etc. This is very confusing, not to say frustrating! Great programme, though.
would it not be nice to actually broadcast the episode advertised. Instead we go some out of sequence episode and now I have no idea what is going on as the last I saw Jordan was off to washington
