Carl Meyer has been released from prison on parole after serving 20 years for the murder of 14-year-old Jane Crewes, who went missing along with her best friend Harriet Collingham. Meyer was also the chief suspect for Harriet's murder, but as her body was never found, he couldn't be charged for the crime.

Frost (David Jason, pictured) is perturbed by the news of Meyer's release. He worked on the case 20 years ago and is desperate to know where Harriet's body is buried, not only for the family's peace of mind, but also for his own.

Elsewhere thre's some shady goings-on at a divorce support group, which results in the group's two owners - Roman Cassell and Tom Brody - being set up. What initially seems like high-jinks turns nasty when Cassell is murdered.

Back at a nearby housing development, a man operating a bulldozer discovers a human skull. Frost is called to the scene and is convinced it belongs to Harriet Collingham. His opinion is confirmed when Harriet's locket is also found on the scene. With Harriet's mother desperate to discover the truth about her daughter's disappearance, Frost attempts to get to the bottom of a case that has spanned two decades...

Filming seems to be done around Castleford and Leeds.

The mythical Denton seems to be around Swindon / Reading (west of London) judging by references in early episodes.

Ironically I did not know these programs were airing. I have only just found out that the first programme on Friday last was about R.D. Wingfield, my late father. If anyone out there taped it I'd love to see it. No one keeps me informed :-(

    Phil.

p.s. I am afraid I don't know anything about the theme, sorry.
