To do this he decides to bet on small basketball matches between himself and other players at a ghetto ball park. The trouble is that he is a compulsive gambler and constantly loses the money he earns or wins during a game. This, of course, upsets his girlfriend Gloria (Rosie Perez), who's biggest dream is to appear as a contestant on Jeopardy - which she appears to be very good at. Sydney Deane (Wesley Snipes) needs the money to help get him, his wife (Tyra Ferrell) and child out of the ghetto apartment they've been living in. They both think they're the best basketball hustlers in town, so when they join forces, nothing can stop them, except each other. When is White Men Can't Jump next on TV?
