Programme Information

High kicking high jinx and martial arts magic as Chinese teen Wendy Wu, whose only real ambition is to be homecoming queen, finds herself forced to use her newly-acquired skills to save the world from a kung fu statue monster. Brenda Song stars as Wendy the warrior, and we are treated to a dazzling display of martial arts, including the high-flying "wire fu" stunts popularised by films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Wendy is a heroine in the mould of Buffy, a 21st century fighter for good. This great family film has humour, romance, adventure and above all, action.
