Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) is fresh out of college and now working as a stockbroker on Wall Street. His biggest desire in life is to earn a fortune and be the best in his field.

Working for the firm that pays his saplary during the day, Bud spends his evenings and spare time trying to figure out how to approach the high-powered and successful stockbroker known as, Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas)

When he finally gets the opportunity to meet with Gekko he explains to the young stockbroker his philosophy on "Greed is Good", a concept alien to Bud's upbringing.

However it isn't long before Gekko takes Bud under his wing and it isn't long after that, that Bud finds himself swept into a world of "yuppies", shady business deals, the "good life" (fast money, and fast women) another concept that is totally alien to his old way of life, and something his family would frown heavily upon.. but will this stop him.
