Bud Kilmer (Jon Voight) is An American football coach in a South Texan high school, where the most important thing to the people of this area is football. During his 35 years as coach for this team they have managed to win the division a total of 22 times.
However the pressure that the local people put on the players to maintain their success is so ectreme that a star quarterback (Paul Walker) became unbearably pressurised even though he had a serious injury.
Joh Moxon (James Van Der Beek) is the second string quarterback with a technique all his own. Now thaty he is the teams leader the team begin to doubt themselves, but with his irresistable charm and wit he tries to win their round.
