Written by freshly grauated Susan Nickson, this new sitcom features five loveable characters plagued by typical twenty-something traumas, confidence crises and peer group pressures.
In the small northern town of Runcorn live five young friends. Their only dreams are to have enough money on Friday to spend down the Pub. They enjoy the same things as everyone else; sex, drink and the telly.
Janet (Sheridan Smith) is a mother figure and her friends, Louise (Kathryn Drysdale) and Donna (Natalie Casey) can usually be found drinking iin her living room, or in the pub doing pretty much the same only with matching glasses.
Louise is a student and the only one who sees beyond the crisp-factory lifestyle of her friends and onto the golden lanes of the M6.
Donna is feisty and independent except for when it comes to her domineering mother Flo (Beverley Callard). Janets boyfriend, Jonny (Ralf Little) is hapless and easy going. He would gladly give upthe house he shares with Janet for the promise of never-ending beer. He's in awe of his best friend Gaz (Will Mellor) and aspires to have his confidence.
Gaz is a self titled ladies man. He would gladly sell his own bedsit for the promise of Britney Spears sitting on his knee.
