An office temp wages her own bid for the boardroom in this business thriller. Lara Flynn Boyle stars as Kris Bolin, the temporary worker at Mrs Appleby's bakery company, who spies her chance for glory in the wake of a takeover by the Bart Foods giant. As she embarks on a campaign of chaos and murder to get what she wants, her supervisor Peter Derns (Timothy Hutton) becomes suspicious - but how can he convince Charlene Towne (Faye Dunaway), the company president and a devious woman herself, that Kris is not to be trusted?
