Luke McNamara (Joshua Jackson) is a college senior. He is from a working class family and decides to join a secret elitist college fraternity organization called "The Skulls", in the vain hope of gaining acceptance into Harvard Law School.
In the beginning Luke is seduced by the club's trapping of power and wealth and is over the moon that this group have decided to except him. However a series of disturbing incidents, such as his best friends suicide, leads him to investigate the truth behind the organization and his friends supposed suicide. He soon starts realizing that his future and possibly his life are in great danger.
