Programme Information

John Ford's masterpiece about a seven-year search for a young girl abducted by Comanches. Her Indian-hating frontiersman uncle forms an uneasy alliance with her half-Indian foster brother as he undertakes the dangerous quest which becomes increasingly obsessive as the years go by. A complex exploration of Native American culture and the western myth.
