Programme Information

Peter Mullan's award-winning film tells the story of four of the inmates of one of Ireland's Magdalene laundries, brutal institutions run by nuns for single mothers, orphans and 'promiscuous' girls. Run with a rod of iron by Geraldine McEwan, the inmates only solace is their friendship.
