If you were brought up in a world where everyone dressed the same and there was a strict routine which even determined what you had for dinner every day, would you eventually begin to wonder what was going on?
It's human nature to do so, and in this futuristic sci-fi thriller it falls to Ewan McGregor as Lincoln Six Echo who begins to wonder about the sterile and regimented community in which he lives. In this future world the only high point of the day is a lottery, where the prize is a chance to win a visit to "The Island" - allegedly the last un-polluted spot on Earth. But of course that's not the full story, and when Lincoln eventually escapes with his companion Jordan Two Delta (Scarlett Johansson) they are chased by an impressive array of trains, boats and planes sent by the authorities in an attempt to prevent them from discovering the truth.
Michael Bay, director of Armageddon has made an intriguing thriller that will both entertain and keep you guessing.
