Unfortunately The Ipcress File isn't on the air any time soon.

Programme Information

The place is London and nearly all of the leading Western scientists have gone missing, only to appear days later after being brainwashed and rendered useless.

Now the British government have sent their counter espionage agent, Harry Palmer (Michael Caine), to investigate what is going on.

The problem is Harry is very surprised that he has been elected for this mission, as his past record within this field hasn't really been top dollar. He is only still in the army due to his boss bailing him out of detention camp and sending him to work for the intelligence service, therefore comes to the conclusion that he has been chosen due to being expendable.

During the investigation a tape appears with the word 'Ipcress' written on it and despite Harry's bad attitude, does get results, and he is soon in contact with the man who could be behind the whole operation.
