Programme Information

When British soldiers get into some trouble on a Greek Islands they need to be evacuated.
However, the line of retreat is totally dominated by several massive German guns on the island of Navarone. If any evacuation is to be successful, the Allies need to get rid of the guns as soon as possible.

A team of Allied soldiers including (Gregory Peck), (Anthony Quinn) and (David Niven) are sent there to liaise with Greek partisans. Their mission may look as impossible as it seems; but are the Germans working entirely on their own?
