Tight, unnerving and masterfully constructed, Francis Ford Coppola's compelling, Oscar-nominated 1974 thriller stars Gene Hackman (pictured) as Harry Caul, a surveillance expert whose obsessively guarded private life begins to unravel on his latest job.

A professional eavesdropper, Caul is haunted by the time his "bugging" cost the lives of three people. When he records a hushed conversation between a couple, he becomes paranoid that the same thing could happen again.
