Programme Information

Paul Newman returns to his role in The Hustler as an ageing liquor salesman inspired by a talented youngster to take up the pool cue after a 25-year break. With the aid of the young man's girlfriend, he encourages his new-found apprentice to learn the hustler's art in backwater pool halls. It isn't long before both headstrong protege and mentor are gunning for the same big bucks.
