Chris Barrie plays the manager of Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre, Gordon Brittas. He means well and really wants to be a good manager. However he is incredibility good at provoking what can only be described as total disaster!
Brittas is always trying to dream up ways of making life for his staff difficult. His personal assistant Laura, played by Julia St John, spends her time trying to keep the Leisure Centre operational, despite Brittas and his bright ideas.
Brittas is married to Helen, played by Pippa Haywood. She struggles to cope with her husband and his lifestyle.
