Programme Information

The time is the 1930's, the place, London.

Richard Hannay (Robert Donat) is a Canadian tourist who attends a music show called "Mr Memory" at the local music hall. While here Robert bumps into Annabella Smith (Lucie Mannheim) who is on the run from secret agents.

Being the eternal gentleman (and fool) he agrees to put her up for the night at his apartment. Everything seems to be fine until the morning when Robert finds Annabella dead in her bed.. murdered!

Now fearing for his own liberty Robert flees, scared of being wrongly accused of the murder. He must now break the spy ring that so embroiled Annabella just so he can prove his innocence.
