Continuing where Stargate the movie left off, this series keeps to the original premise and features amazing special effects and lots of action. Stargate SG-1 is a hugely popular science fiction series in which a hand-picked team of soldiers and scientists travels through a portal to discover strange and alien worlds beyond.

Each episode is a stand alone adventure but, for regular viewers, there is also the ongoing story of the aliens' attempts to colonise the Earth.

Starring Richard Dean Anderson as Colonel Jonathan 'Jack' O'Neill, Michael G Shanks as Dr Daniel Jackson, Amanda Tapping as Dr Samantha Carter, Christopher Judge as Teal'c, Don Davis as General Hammond and Teryl Rothery as Dr Fraiser.
