Kristen Stewart stars in this drama as Melinda Sordino, a teenage girl who loses the ability to speak after a traumatic event at a summer party. Melinda is offered no support from her friends and mother, who are all too busy with their own lives to notice the youngster's plight. It's not until a teacher reaches out to Melinda that the full extent of her ordeal comes to light.
