Programme Information

Billy Wilder's classic cross-dressing comedy, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Two musicians witness the St Valentine's Day Massacre in 1929 and are forced to flee Chicago in drag with an all-girl band, headed for Florida. Despite some hair-raising near-misses, the pair manage to carry off their disguises, but complications arise when both men fall for the band's singer. Not only that but an amorous, rich and elderly playboy falls for one of the men, and refuses to take no for an answer.
