John Shaft, the namesake nephew of the original (cult 70's) private eye, is a dedicated cop who is assigned to a racially motivated murder when white collar murderer, Christian Bale, tries to ensure an innocent verdict. Can the detective find the only witness to the crime before the murderer's strong-arm lackeys?
