I was disgusted that Tom the teenager rescued from the cliff face by helicopter did not apologise or thank the rescue team on air. Neither did he do so when interviewed at home. His mother`s plans for a sponsored silence left me stunned. It will be the sponsors who make an effort to reimburse the £10,000 rescue costs,not this stupid young man. He and the mother seemed amused by it all. It seems to be another case of poor parenting.
