However Marty comes back as a ghost to help his living colleague (Bob Mortimer) continue solving the various cases that they took on before the fatality. The only person that can see and communicate with Marty is Jeff,and this leads to hilarious consequences where we frequently see Jeff talking to Marty,and then see it from an observers point of view and see Jeff apparently talking to himself.
