George, although not totally stupid, isn't the brightest light in the sky - if you catch my drift. On celebrating his birthday in his local bar, George observes a very strange light in the sky and goes out to investigate. On awaking the next day George disovers he knows a lot more than he had done the day before and puts this new found intelligence to good use within his local community. At first, his friends are excited by the changes in him, he reads six books a day, learns new languages in minutes and even predicts a devastating earthquake. However his powers soon drive a wedge between him and his friends when the word gets around that he is a freak and the townsfolk realise that their lovable mechanic.
