Reputed to be one of the best horror movies of all time this is a very bizarre and gory film which takes a step forward inthey way that murder victims react. Instead of screaming, falling down and cowering until they were killed. In this film the victims aggressively pursue the evil inside the funeral home with a shotgun.

When a young teenage boy called Mike (A. Michael Baldwin) loses his parents, he finds it very hard to tell the difference between what's real and unreal and is plagued with nightmares which make him afraid that he will lose his older brother, Jody (Bill Thornbury) too.

This constant dread makes Mike follow Jody to a funeral he is attending and there he gets the shock of his life. With the aid of binoculars he sees The Tall Man (Angus Scrimm), a mortician, lift a coffin up by himself!!

Now bamboozled by this he decides to investigate further only to find a horrible world of very bizarre events at the mortuary.. including a highly specialised and unoique security device - but what is it protecting.

Enlisting the help of his brother and his friend Reggie (Reggie Bannister) the three try and elliminate the Tall Man.
