Second version of John Steinbeck's classic tale set in central California during the Depression. Lennie - powerful and slow-witted but gentle - and his self-appointed guardian George are itinerant farm labourers who dream of owning a ranch where they can be left in peace and Lennie can care for the animals he loves. But Lennie does not know his own strength, and his violent outbursts force the pair to keep on the move.
