Programme Information

This taut political thriller is still as exciting and riveting as it was in 1987.

The story follows Lt. Cmdr. Tom Farrell (Kevin Costner) who is a US naval officer assigned to the Pentagon.

All is going well until he embarks on an affair with Susan Atwell (Sean Young) not knowing that she is also the mistress of a highly motivated politician David Brice (Gene Hackman).

When Susan is found murdered in her apartment, Tom is assigned to the case of finding her murderer who it is believed is a KGB spy. He soon finds himself grappling with a dangerous cover-up within the inner circles of government.

However when a Polaroid negative is found under Susan's bed Tom realises that it is he who will appear in the photo and thus will be named as the prime suspect.

He now only has a few hours to find the true killer before the computer manages to regenerate the negative, bearing his face.
