Programme Information

British drama based on the smash hit play by Jez Butterworth (who has adapted his play for the screen and also directs).

Set in the 1950s, the story focuses on Silver Johnny (Hans Matheson), a young singer in a nightclub who has been tipped for great things.

However, he is being fought over by a gangster and by the club's owner - and things are about to get nasty.
