Programme Information

Gripping drama about a jazz trumpeter whose bad decisions blight both his relationships and his musical career. Denzel Washington plays the central role of Bleek Gilliam, and Wesley Snipes stars as fellow band member Shadow Henderson. When the musicians' friendly on-stage rivalry spills into their professional relationship, it threatens to tear apart the quartet. The much-acclaimed score features the music of Terence Blanchard and The Branford Marsalis Quartet.
