A young stud who is going nowhere fast in small-town Texas heads for New York in this classic downbeat drama which took the Oscar for best picture. On the sleazy streets of the Big Apple, Joe Buck's dreams of finding glamour and adventure are shattered by a succession of unsavoury incidents, but he finds a friend in the unlikely shape of 'Ratso' Rizzo, a street hustler with a wasting lung disease.
