Programme Information

Jewish male nurse, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) plan's to ask for his girlfriend's, Pam Byrnes (Teri Polo), hand in marriage but he wants to do it the old fashioned way, which is to ask her father first, besides the father-in-law expects this!

Pam's father, Jack (Robert De Niro) is a retired florist whom specializes in rare species' of plants, he is also *very* protective of his family, espeicially his daughters'. Greg hasn't picked the best time to carry out this role.

Jack is currently putting his all into organising the wedding of Pam's younger sister, Debbie (Nicole DuHuff), to the wealthy doctor Bob Banks (Thomas McCarthy), while Greg tries desperately to make a good impression.

This, however, seems to be an impossible task since there is no match between Pam's sister's husband-to-be and him so his reputation in her father's eyes automatically goes down. Of course everything that can go wrong, does, including the disappearance of Dad's beloved Himalayan cat, Jinxie
