Fantastic futuristic animation in this entertaining tale of Lewis, a 12 year old orphan who wants to find his birth mother. He's already a talented inventor of weird and wonderful gadgets and gizmos, like a machine for making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. This catches the attention of a strange kid called Wilbur who says he's from the future. It turns out he's not just boasting, and he whisks Lewis into the future. In a strange sci-fi style city he meets lots of future relations and also an archetypal evil villain called The Bowler Hat Guy. There are lots of amusing revelations and plenty of adventures as Lewis meets The Robinsons.
