Quirky gangster comedy about a mobster's wife and her struggle to break free from the Mafia after her husband is killed. Dissatisfied with her lot as a hoodlum's widow, she decides to start a new life in New York with her son. However, she is plagued by the unwanted attentions of both the FBI, who want information, and the local Mafia boss, who is besotted with her.
