A heart-warming drama about a burnt-out former emergency department nurse and single mother (Annabeth Gish) who quits her job after a clash with her superiors. Struggling to make ends meet, Denise Di Fiori takes up work at a care facility for mildly brain-damaged patients. Her compassionate nature helps the patients and herself to get by, especially young athletic star and high-school teacher Rick Spencer (Ethan Embry), whom Denise teaches to have faith in himself again.
