Lee Evans - So What Now?Running Time: 30 minutes (approx)If Lee Evans could only stop worrying about what could go wrong, he might start to enjoy life. But, then again, if he caught himself enjoying life, he would feel something was wrong. Dreadfully wrong. And the worry of not having anything to worry about would worry him to death... In a series of very nervous half hours, angst-ridden Lee Evans stumbles into the 21st century in the throes of a mid-life crisis. Thrown out by his wife, Eileen, our idiotic hero has taken refuge with an even bigger idiot - his best pal, an embarrassing oik called Stuart. If the world is a china shop, Stuart is a cheery, insensitive, 16-stone bull. He insists on being the life and soul of the party - whether he has been invited or not! However, beneath all the bluster, he is just as desperate as Lee and that is why he clings to his friend like an outsized limpet. Stuart knows that he is a fool. He also knows that Lee is the only other fool in the world who will listen to his advice. While struggling to get their lives back on course, the two saps rent rooms from their desperate and freaky landlady, Heather. Heather is a failed "It Girl" and party circuit burnout case who is on the slide. She has no friends - they all vanished as quickly as her private income. And Daddy dearest is currently serving three years in Her Majesty's pleasure for pension fraud at Ford Open Prison. Heather needs the rent and there are only two people on this planet idiotic enough to live in the same house as her, and look up to her at the same time. Likewise she is the only landlady desperate enough to put up with Lee and Stuart. At least they provide her with two people to look down on. In short, three desperate people are in a hole - and no one has told them to stop digging. The 21st century may be prepared for human clones, super bugs and genetically modified lettuce, but the world will never be ready for that neurotic disaster zone known as Lee Evans. In the first episode we see that Lee has been thrown out by his wife. He visits his old friend Stuart, and gets him thrown out in the process. Meanwhile, bankrupt Heather has been forced to turn into a landlady and she is getting more desperate to find a suitable tenant. Main Cast
