Compelling drama about the love shared by a couple who have hit rock bottom. An alcoholic, fired from his Hollywood job, moves to Vegas with the intention of drinking himself to death. He meets a prostitute on the run from her pimp, they fall in love and he moves in. They make a pact that she will not ask him to stop drinking and he will not question her lifestyle. Nicolas Cage won an Oscar for Best Actor.
