James Ivory and Ismail Merchant's drama, written by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, stars Kate Hudson as Isabelle Walker, who flies to Paris to visit her pregnant stepsister Roxeanne de Persand. However, her arrival coincides with Watts' husband Charles-Henri walking out to live with his Russian mistress.
