December the 27th 1979, introduced the world to Knots Landing, a small community that reflects the life style of California. Knots Landing follows the lives of five families living in a small Californian community.
Gary and Valene Ewing are the main characters who are relatives to the popular Ewing family of Dallas, Knots Landing follows their lives beyond Dallas.
The other characters are Sid and Karen Fairgate, their all-American neighbours with their three children, Diana, Eric, and Michael. There's also a newly wed couple called Kenny and Ginger Ward, and divorcee Abby Cunningham, Sid's scheming sister; the other family is Richard and Laura Avery.
This popular night time soap opera had viewers tuned in every week for 14 years following the events in the small cul-de-sac from marriages to divorces, or even murders, to suicides, and many other storylines that kept this one of the most successful dramas ever.
