This is a terrifying and classic masterpiece about a coastal community who are being terrorized by a Great White shark.

With the summer tourist season close at hand, the mayor is keen to keep the first attack hushed up so as not to interfere with the hoiday trasde - which relies totally on the beach and sea.

However when an expert claims that the attacks are the work of a giant Great White, there is only one solution - to kill the monster fish before it can feed again.

Based on Peter Benchley's best-seller, three sequels and numerous imitators followed

Jaws is a Film programme that first aired in 1975 and has been rated PG.
