We just can't get enough of Home and Away! Is it the golden sunsets, the sparkling ocean or the sexy stars we ogle at in every episode?
The soap's original formula still remains today: Pippa Fletcher/Ross (nee King) moving to Summer Bay Caravan park with her husband's extensive foster family in tow. In those days the kids answered to the names of Frank, Carly, Steven, Sally, Lynne and "Milko" - Sally's imaginary friend. But visit the bay these days and you'll be meeting the likes of Shannon, Sam, Tiegan, Sally (yes the same Sally!) and Christopher. The faces may have changed but the quality of the soap hasn't.
The only original cast members left may be Kate Ritchie, Judy Nunn, Ray Meagher and Norman Coburn, but the realistic way that characters move in and out of the small fishing bay does indeed keeps the viewers happy and content. Maybe somewhere there is a Summer Bay.
Stories vary. One day, the bay may even be struck by an earthquake or a flash flood. But no matter what the story we stay convinced by the characters and glued to the sun soaked television screens.
