Made by Yorkshire Television. This popular drama follows the every day lives of the North Riding Police Force situated in the rural fictional village of Aidensfield, commonly known as Goathland, in the North Yorkshire Moors.
Heartbeat was first broadcast in the UK in 1992 and was a success from day one. The original line up included Nick Berry(EastEnders, Harbour Lights) as PC Nick Rowan and his G.P wife Kate (Niamh Cusack - The Closer You Get, Always and Everyone) who moved to Aidensfield from London for a quiet life.
Here they meet the likes of the loveable rogue Claude Greengrass (Bill Maynard), Sgt Blaketon (Derek Fowlds), Gina Ward (Tricia Penrose) to name but a few - however things change, Kate died of Leukaemia, PC Rowan remarried and then moved to Canada, leaving an opening for replacement PC Mike Bradley (Jason Durr), who after some searching marries Jackie (Fiona Doleman)
Still the heart of the show lies with a terrific sixties soundtrack, community ups and downs and police escapades. Excellent stuff even surviving the departure of Nick Berry, if not increasing its ratings!
Can anyone tell me what the tune is as the car pulls up at the restaurant at the beginning of snapped season 6?

That must have been the worst of Heartbeat's programmes ever written, directed or produced. Only Dereck Fowles as Osca played their parts well. Reply from you will be" that is how life is today", so you produce, rubbish.
