Programme Information

This 1997 Oscar-winning comedy drama follows a mathematical genius, struggling to come to terms with his talent and the trauma in his life, and his psychologist who is trying to help him.

Will Hunting (Matt Damon) is a janitor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He hangs around with a group of tough-talking Irish-American's and hides his talent like a guilty secret.

However, his secret is discovered by a professor who, when Will is ordered to undergo therapy for his aggression, introduces him to a washed up psychologist who reaches out to him and starts to coach him, learning much about his own life's pain's in the process. A pretty young medical student, Skylar (Minnie Driver) shows him that there can be a pretty face along with his life of the mind.
